The province of La Union is popularly known for its fine beaches. But it is fast becoming more than these fine beaches and its monicker as the surfing capital of the Ilocos. “Pugad” which means bird’s nest is one reason for this transformation.
Pugo, a municipal town of La Union is the site of the newly opened adventure and recreation destination in Ilocos. This picturesque destination with more than 3 hectares of lush mountain and clean river is called PUGAD or Pugo Adventure.
Zip Line Adventure
For adventure seekers, PUGAD offers a new kind of adventure. For instance, you can fly high like a bird with its zip line facility. Pugad boasts the longest zip line (380 meters) in Luzon. It is reportedly 2nd in the entire Philippine archipelago. As of this date, two more zip lines are in the pipe line to provide visitors a much better view of the entire scenery.
Rapelling, wall climbing and trekking
If you would like to test your stamina, try its breath taking rappelling and wall climbing facilities. Trekking in the area is also fun because of its natural sceneries. The place is endowed with a clean river and sloping terrain that flows right at the heart of the village of Kagaling.
All terrain vehicle driving
Are you looking for a unique driving experience? PUGAD offers all terrain vehicle driving adventure. You do not need to be a professional driver to try this driving adventure and tour around the premises. PUGAD is a three-hectare land in the peaceful barangay of Palina.
Swimming pool and other facilities
For a relaxing atmosphere, enjoy PUGAD’s crystal clear swimming pool suitable for children and adults. For the meantime, PUGAD caters to team-building and to small-group activities while the cottages, function hall and main building are still under construction.
To assist guests in the different facilities and to ensure an enjoyable and safe adventure, PUGAD maintains a pool of well-trained personnel and state-of-the-art equipment .
